Over the past 6 years I have been exploring different ways that the exciting medium of animation can enhance motivation and  learning. I have recently been fortunate enough to have my post as Head of Art at Southall Special School made part-time so that I can go into other schools to run workshops for pupils and teachers.

The aim of these workshops is to enable you and your pupils to begin your own animation projects straight away, and then go on to find more applications for your own curriculum.  Once your class is animating I don’t think you will find a shortage of suggestions for further projects.

There are a wide range of different techniques and starting points for animation in school. Before planning a suitable workshop for your school I would need to contact you to find out about the age and ability of your students, what ICT and other facilities you have, and what sort of projects you might like to tackle.
